Also if possible try to work on the abs at the end of the workout session in the gym. If you want your core of the abs to be strong, then it should not be strained before working on other parts of the body. Spine is also greatly affected by abs workout.
The diet for abs includes mainly proteins. Fates have to be avoided at all costs because there is no use if you eat fats at one time and work to shed it at the other. Carbohydrates should also be avoided as much as possible. However a little intake of carbohydrates is important too.
